Club Mission Statement
Club START seeks to provide a safe environment for students to discuss and address feelings or concerns and to raise awareness on social issues of gender bias, race, religion, culture, and sexual orientation to James Workman Middle School student body.

The 2019-2020 Executive OFFICERS:

Club START meets after school every Tuesday at 2:30 in
​Room 913 (Amplo) or 409 (Zimmerman).

"GLSEN (pronounced "glisten") was founded in 1990 by a small, but dedicated group of teachers in Massachusetts who came together to improve an education system that too frequently allows its lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer and questioning (LGBTQ) students to be bullied, discriminated against, or fall through the cracks."
